Acupuncture Therapy

Originating in China about 5,000 years ago, acupuncture is one of the oldest continuously practice medical systems in the world. The fundamental principals of acupuncture are to treat the person as an integrated whole in body, mind, and spirit, and to remedy the root cause of illness and disease, not only the symptoms. Acupuncture is a very safe healing modality when practiced by a comprehensively trained practitioner. Sterile, one-time use only, disposable needles are used. The needles are fine, flexible and solid, about the diameter of a human hair. Patients frequently find acupuncture relaxing, and many fall asleep during treatments.

What Acupuncture is used to treat:

Back pain, headaches/migraines, injuries, muscle and joint pain, depression, stress/anxiety, fibromyalgia, allergies, menstrual and female disorders, urinary problems, arthritis, carpal tunnel syndrome, digestive problems, Bell’s palsy, insomnia, TMJ, nausea, shingles, infections: cold/flu, and more…

What to expect at your Acupuncture session:

During the initial visit a general medical history will be taken as well as a specific examination of your current health concern. This is also a time for you to discuss any questions you may have with your practitioner. This appointment will take approximately 90 minutes. Follow up sessions are usually scheduled for about one hour. Frequency of treatment varies with each person and condition.
